When his efforts to reach Europe prove unsuccessful, Sega is thrust back to Dakar where he must now confront his family and friends and navigate his disappointment as well.


Fatima (New York Premiere)
Gerald Barclay, 2018, 25 min
Fatima, a hard-working single mother and undocumented immigrant, has the day off and plans to celebrate her son’s birthday. A call from her job changes everything. Having no choice, she is forced to take the shift. In a home located in a rural area of Atlanta, Georgia, Fatima cares for and tends to an opinionated and racist old veteran. Throughout her shift she endures abuse, arrogance and threats.


Fallou (U.S. Premiere)

Fallou is the story of a young man who has been sent from Senegal to London by a marabout linked to an extremist group. Fallou will discover London’s energy, music and people. He will make new friends and eventually make a choice: stay faithful to his marabout or embrace the exciting life of this new city.
