About the Albie Awards Dinner

In the spirit and tradition of Albert Maysles, the Albie Awards celebrate an individual’s contribution to the advancement of nonfiction filmmaking through the support of other filmmakers and the creation of unique works that promote a better understanding of the human condition, encouraging compassion, and helping heal the chasm between races and classes.

Proceeds from our Albie Awards Dinner fund our comprehensive, hands-on documentary production programs for filmmakers of all ages as well as our commitment to using filmmaking to amplify and expand underrepresented artists and narratives while empowering young filmmakers in creative self-expression, communicating ideas, and advocating needs.
